In 2018, we launched a three-year project, ‘Implementing Safeguards to Reduce Risks of Torture’, in Thailand. Consisting of advocacy, trainings and a public awareness campaign, the project is being run with the support of civil society and government authorities. In parallel, we are guiding the development of regional guidelines on the prevention of torture in South East Asia with the South East Asia National Human Rights Institutions Forum, of which the Thai National Human Rights Institution is a part.
