Panama

We have been active in Panama for several years, advocating for stronger action on torture prevention. This work has centred on supporting the process towards designation of a National Preventive Mechanism, advice and expert insight. The mechanism started to be operational in August 2018. Our work continues through activities designed to strengthen its capacities to implement its preventive mandate.
