Veronica Filippeschi

SENIOR ADVISER, VULNERABILITIES

Veronica Filippeschi is APT’s Senior Adviser, Vulnerabilities, with over 15 years of experience in human rights. She leads the APT’s work to address the situations of heightened risks of torture and ill-treatment faced by women, LGBTIQ+ people and other persons deprived of liberty in situations of vulnerability. In her work, she regularly engages with national oversight bodies, national authorities, civil society organisations, the UN and regional human rights bodies. Prior to joining the APT in 2013, she worked for several UN agencies in Latin America and Italy. She holds Master’s degrees in International Relations and International Human Rights Law. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian.
