Nid Satjipanon
SENIOR ADVISER AND ASIA-PACIFIC REPRESENTATIVE
Nid Satjipanon is Senior Adviser and Asia-Pacific representative for the APT. Based in Bangkok, Nid leads the APT’s work in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in Thailand and Mongolia. As Senior Adviser, his focus is on promoting dignity and fairness in criminal justice systems, advocating for human rights-based policing and systemic change to reduce risks of torture and ill-treatment in the first moments of detention. He has worked as a public defender in criminal courts, a legal advisor across the Pacific Islands, and a human rights adviser within a National Human Rights Institution. He holds an LLM in Public International Law and is fluent in English and Thai.
