Children’s vulnerabilities in detention (Jean-Jacques Gautier NPM Symposium 2014)
In June 2014, the APT organised the Jean-Jacques Gautier NPM Symposium, Addressing children’s vulnerabilities in detention, to discuss the vulnerabilities and risks faced by children deprived of their liberty and explore how NPMs can effectively address these issues.
In these interviews, Odalis Najera Medina, member of the Honduran NPM, Adidi Arnould, director of Educational Service at Marseille Juvenile Detention Centre, and Peter Green, forensic physician and doctor for child safeguarding, discuss the specific vulnerabilities of children deprived of their liberty and the role of NPMs to protect children’s rights in detention.
