Switzerland

From our headquarters in Switzerland, we engage with international human rights organisations, such as the Office of the United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights, international organisations and national representatives based in Geneva. We continually advocate for strong action on torture prevention and for implementation of the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture, a key international treaty to reduce the risks of torture.

We also have a long-standing working relationship with National Commission for the Prevention of Torture (CNPT), Switzerland’s National Preventive Mechanism. We work with the CNPT, supporting its detention monitoring efforts, and raising awareness of vulnerabilities in detention.
