Guatemala - OPCAT Situation

Guatemala ratified the OPCAT in 2008 and designated a new body, the National Preventive Office, as its NPM two years later through a legislative decree. However, the mechanism is not yet in place and the selection process for the NPM members is still on-going. 

The SPT member Felipe Villavicencio Terreros is the SPT Focal Point for Guatemala.
