Peru - OPCAT Situation

Although Peru ratified the OPCAT in 2006, the NPM has not been designated yet. Consultations have been ongoing since then on the possible structure of the NPM.

The Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture announced that it will visit Peru in 2013.

The SPT member Judith Salgado is the SPT Focal Point for Peru.
