Panama - OPCAT Situation

Panama ratified the OPCAT in 2011. Discussions are ongoing in the country regarding the structure of the future NPM. Different options are being considered, including establishing a new and specialized body on torture prevention.

The SPT member Miguel Sarre Iguiniz is the SPT Focal Point for Panama.
