Finland - OPCAT Situation

In April 2013, the Finnish Parliament passed a national law on OPCAT implementation and in June of the same year it approved amendments to the Act of the Parliamentary Ombudsperson's Office to carry out the NPM mandate. 

Finland deposited the instrument of ratification of the OPCAT to the United Nations in New York in October 2014.

The SPT member Mari Amos is the SPT Focal Point for Finland.
