Cyprus - OPCAT Situation

Shortly after having ratified the OPCAT in 2009, Cyprus appointed the Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsperson’s office) as its NPM. The choice of designating a single institution, instead of multiple ones, was taken due to practical reasons.
The SPT member Aneta Stanchevska is the SPT Focal Point for Cyprus.
