National Human Rights Institution (Institución Nacional de Derechos Humanos)

The APT would like to thank its national and regional partners who regularly inform us about the national situation regarding the designation and establishment of National Preventive Mechanisms.

N.B: We encourage any State Party which has designated or is due to designate a National Preventive Mechanism to inform the SPT Secretariat of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva of the designation. The OHCHR does not always receive official notification, including from some of the authorities in the above mentioned countries.
